Bio
I didn’t have the most stable upbringing and left home at 16. I worked hard whilst at school and then college where I took my GCSEs again. I then worked at Southern Electric for 5 years in the accounts department. Whilst at Southern Electric, I completed an ONC and then HNC in Business Studies. My employer at the time suggested to me that I’d enjoy a stint at Camp America, so I took the leap. It’s safe to say that working in the US changed my life! On arrival back in the UK with skills, motivation, drive and some qualifications under my belt, I entered the recruitment sector. I was told that I wasn’t very good. However, I turned it around and became the most successful consultant in the company’s history. I still have the trophy at home. I learnt a lot of good and not-so-good practice there and after 4 years started up STR. Today, I am lucky to have a big family, in a large house that is almost complete. Well, getting there… My mother-in-law lives with us and for dinner every night there are 8 around the table! We also keep alpacas, lambs, chickens and a cat.
